my day

well- we got signed up for "pride" classes this month- they are the state required training classes for foster parents. we are really doing it! after this comes the home study, then we get referred a child when one becomes available matching our criteria.
the boys are doing super awesome in their schooling this week. it's great having a sitter a few days a week, cause it gives me time to do curriculum planning.
here is a pict of sebastian "helping" daddy install a shelf.

homeschool

Here is our homeschool set-up. kiryn's table and tristan's table.

here's some of what we are doing right now-
the boys are reading mostly level one books- you know "tom and jane ran up the hill.."
Tristan is FLYING through these and is moving on to reading various fliers and books he picks up. he just HAS it now.
Kiryn is getting much better at his reading, but he dosnt have it , or the flow down. it's still sounding out EVERYTHING>which is mighty slow. BUT , he enjoys reading out loud to me, so i enjoy his enjoyment.
We are using Abeka math-1st grade for both boys. this is definitely Kiryn's area.. We are doing single digit addition and subtraction-memorization, clock reading , money, ruler measurment and simple graphs.
their little minds are like sponges!
