today i heard of another baby dying last night in a homebirth. it was a friend of a friend's attempted HBA2C. i am so sick of homebirth midwives taking clients who are clearly high risk and then saying things like ' babies die in the hospitals too '.

I don't know how well you know your friends friend but if she ever wants to connect with someone who understands (Emma was born vba2c, planned homebirth but born in hospital) then my email details are in my blogger profile.
We're all babylost but, sometimes, there is real comfort in connecting with someone who's story is similar.
I am deeply sorry. I will be thinking of her and the whole family. It makes me cringe when midwifes turn their cheek to the complications of such births. I am truly, truly sorry for their loss.
How very tragic.
I have VBAC'ed 3 - and I cannot imagine even considering a homebirth. That midwife is an idiot.
