We got Bertha from the Basset rescue 4 years ago.
it is safe to say, Bertha loved everyone... and she loved bacon, and the couch. she was a good dog, always trustworthy with children..not so much with left out food! Betha had a serious medical condition which forced me to have to put her to sleep today. what a poopy day!

It's so very sad when we have to lose a pet. They mean so much. Bertha looked like a good dog. :) Hugs!
So sorry for the loss of your sweet doggie. She obviously had a wonderful life with your family!
Awww mama :( We have a basset hound too - her name is Cecelia, and she loves whining a LOT and almost every other food than any dog food! She just had 9 puppies about four weeks ago actually. Wish you were in MN so that perhaps I could give you one - not that is would make up for her loss of course, just a gift between us human mamas :) XXX
